💎 Hidden Gem: Marbury Park & Neumann’s Flash Loop (Northwich)

A flat, family-friendly loop linking lakes, woodlands and big skies across the Northwich Woodlands. Start in elegant Marbury Park (avenues, play area), then wander past reedbeds and bird hides around Neumann’s Flash – plenty of wildlife and year-round interest.

Keep it short for little legs or stretch it to Anderton Boat Lift for a canal-side bonus. Wayfinding is simple, paths are mostly firm, and there are plenty of benches for snack stops.

Practical bits

  • Start/parking: Marbury Country Park car park (CW9 6AT) or Anderton Nature Park (CW9 6FW).

  • Distance/time: 2.5-4 miles – allow 60-120 mins at family pace.

  • Grade/terrain: Easy; largely level, well-made paths with some gravel/mud after rain.

  • Dogs: Welcome; leads near livestock/wildfowl.

❤️ Why we love it: Big nature for low effort, with cafes and loos a short hop away.
