Summer Family Fun at Anderton Boat Lift Visitor Centre

Looking for an affordable and memorable day out this summer? The Anderton Boat Lift team has an action-packed programme of hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy.

Kids Go FREE on the Edwin Clark trip boat

From 19 July – 1 September only, up to three children go FREE with each paying adult on our family-friendly river cruises along the River Weaver. Our boat crew brings the area's fascinating history to life for younger audiences, making it a fun and special experience for visitors of all ages.

Drop-in Family Activity Days

Join us over the summer months for our drop-in activity sessions (£2.50 per child), with themed activities including:

• Storytelling and games • Crazy Canal building challenges • Nature trails and creepy crawlies • Make-and-take arts and craftsChildren can also explore the waterways-themed play area and find their way through our unique counterweights maze, while adults relax in our beautiful grounds with spectacular views of the iconic Anderton Boat Lift.

Our Coffee Shop will be open throughout the summer, serving delicious breakfasts and lunches including homemade pizzas, sandwiches, children's picnic boxes, as well as ice creams, cakes and cold drinks.
