The Fleece at Bunbury
If you’ve not made it to The Fleece at Bunbury yet, put it on the list for this weekend. It’s the kind of village pub that gets everything right without trying too hard — a proper open fire, a menu that changes with the seasons, and a beer garden that earns its keep on any half-decent Cheshire afternoon.
The kitchen leans local wherever it can. The pork comes from a farm three miles down the road, the cheese board is all North West producers, and the Sunday roast — served until they run out, which they do — has built something of a reputation across south Cheshire. Book it, don’t chance it.
