Cheshire Walking Festival 2027
The first Cheshire Walking Festival is coming to Alderley Edge on Saturday 3 April 2027, and bookings are already open.
Organised by Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC, a Sport England and National Lottery funded Community Interest Company based in Alderley Edge, the festival features eight guided walks for all ages and abilities, all starting and finishing at the festival headquarters at the De Trafford Arms on Congleton Road.
Walks range from a £5 beginner walk to the twelve-mile Barry Clark Challenge Walk at £25, named in memory of Barry Clark, father of festival founder Julia Hartley, who spent twenty-five years leading walks for HF Holidays across the UK and abroad.
The festival raises money for Christie's Cancer Charity, Cheshire Search and Rescue, and Guided Outdoor Adventuring CIC, and has been supported by Alderley Edge Parish Council with a £500 community grant.
