OPEN AGAIN THIS WEEKEND THE 11TH & 12TH JULY!COME & HEAR The story of salt production in Middlewich and the birth of the Cheshire chemicals industry.Murgatroyd’s Brine Pumps are open again this weekend. Come and see pump in its final stage of refurbishment and enjoy a live demonstration of how salt was made in the 1600s in Middlewich using brine from British Salt. It is a fascinating process, the fire will be lit at 12 noon and you can see the age old process of salt making on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
