Looking for Remembrance Sunday 2026 events in Cheshire? This guide lists the parades and services across the county on Sunday 8 November 2026, with times, routes and road closures wherever councils have published them.
Many services observe the national two-minute silence at 11am, and Armistice Day follows on Wednesday 11 November.
Some towns have not yet released their 2026 timings, so we have marked those clearly rather than guess. There are also many smaller parish services county-wide, so do check your town or parish website.

Chester and Ellesmere Port
- Chester (city): Sunday 8 Nov at Chester Cathedral. The 2026 parade and service times have not been published yet. Last year the parade formed at 9:30am with the service at 10:15am. 👉 Details

Rural West Cheshire (Villages)
- Tarporley: Parade from Burton Square to St Helen’s Church from 10:25am, followed by a service and wreath-laying at the war memorial. 👉 Details
- Tattenhall, Malpas, Guilden Sutton and Upton by Chester: All four are listed on Cheshire West and Chester Council’s 2026 Remembrance page. Check the listing for times and road closures. 👉 Details
- Frodsham: 2026 arrangements are not yet published. Last year the service was at St Laurence’s Church at 9:45am, with a further observance at the war memorial on Overton Hill. 👉 Details

Mid-Cheshire (Northwich and Winsford area)
- Northwich: Parade from Crum Hill at 9:30am to St Helen’s Church for the 10am service, then the Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph at 10:45am. The parade returns to Memorial Court for light refreshments. 👉 Details
- Hartford: Starts at 9:40am at Hartford Village Hall. See the council listing for the full programme. 👉 Details
- Moulton: Procession from Summerfield Drive and Main Road to St Stephen’s Church from 9:45am, then a procession to the Cenotaph at 10:45am for wreath-laying. Refreshments afterwards at the Royal British Legion on Main Road. 👉 Details
- Weaverham: Listed for 2026, with times not yet confirmed. Last year was an afternoon event, with the parade setting off at 2:30pm from the Northwich Road shops to St Mary’s Church. 👉 Details
- Winsford (town centre war memorials): Listed for 2026, with times not yet confirmed. Last year the parade formed at 10:15am at Wyvern House with the service at 10:45am by the library. 👉 Details

Warrington Borough
- Warrington (town centre): Parade forms outside the Town Hall at 9:45am and sets off at 10:20am for the cenotaph at Bridge Foot. The service begins at 10:59am with the Last Post, followed by the two-minute silence at 11am and wreath-laying. Road closures run 8am to 12noon across the town centre, including a full closure of Bridge Foot. Time Square multi-storey car park is open all day. 👉 Details
- Lymm: Parade assembles on Brookfield Road from 9:00am and marches off at 9:30am to St Mary’s Church for the 10am service. Silence and wreath-laying follow at 11am in the church grounds. Road closures 9am to 12noon. Timings follow previous years. 👉 Details

Cheshire East: North
- Macclesfield: Parade forms at 10am behind the Town Hall and sets off at 10:25am. The service and two-minute silence are at 11am at the War Memorial on Park Green. Expect road closures around the Town Hall, Park Green and the parade route. 👉 Details
- Knutsford: Community service 9:00am to 10:00am at St John’s Church. Parade assembles at 10:10am (King Street car park) and marches at 10:25am to the Centennial War Memorial for the service from 10:55am. Further services at the Crosstown War Memorial at 12:00pm and the Tatton Park Parachute Regiment Memorial at 12:45pm, and the Town Mayor lays a wreath at Centennial Place Memorial Garden at 1:30pm.
