Mettle with Nicholas Collett at Hoole Community Centre

An extraordinary wartime story comes to Hoole Community Centre.

Written and performed by award-winning actor Nicholas Collett, Mettle explores his father’s service on the Atlantic convoys during the Second World War and the memories he kept private for many years.

Through accounts of dangerous seas, U-boat attacks and family life, Nicholas brings together the father he knew with the wartime experiences that shaped him.

Incredibly moving, this solo play explores love, loss and the relationship between a father and son. An evening of live theatre for anyone interested in history, personal testimony and family stories.

Friday 6 November 2026, 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Suitable for adult audiences. Follow the ticket link for prices and booking.
