Black Liver: Rogues’ Gallery
Organised by Cheshire Rural Touring Arts
About this event
BBC Radio 4 Sitcom Award winners bring their brand new comedy show to Cheshire!
A painting of a woman hangs in a gallery, surrounded by mystery and myth. Does it carry a curse? As the portrait passes from owner to owner, hidden stories of women as both artist and muse begin to emerge.
In this brand-new show from Black Liver, Ruth & Keith bring Rogues’ Gallery to life through sketches, poetry and storytelling. Funny, sharp and engaging, the show explores creativity, resilience and rebellion.
Combining satire and social history with humour and music, this is a full evening of uplifting entertainment, including an interval with a playful competition for audiences to enjoy.
Black Liver have been heard on BBC Radio 4, seen on BBC One and Sky TV, and toured internationally. Their bold, accessible theatre combines comedy, music and storytelling to bring overlooked stories vividly to life.
Perfect for anyone who enjoys smart, character-driven comedy, a dash of history with their laughs, the wit of Victoria Wood and the playful darkness of Roald Dahl!
Suitable for adults and young people age 12+
