SUMMARY:Friends of Hadlow Road Station - Heritage Signal Box open
DESCRIPTION:Hadlow Road Station special Sunday 13th September: as part of the Wirral History & Heritage Association Week\, as well as our usual pop-up café\, we have the signal box open (accessed via steps)\, music by Western Approaches and Mersey Morris will also be performing. It is also our second charity day for this year\, with funds going to Wirral St John’s Hospice. \n\n\n\nHadlow Road Station is a Grade II listed Heritage England station with a historical museum which has been restored to look as it did when the station was closed in 1956\, now part of the Wirral Way\, it is looked after by the Friends of Hadlow Road Station (FHRS). \n\n\n\nFHRS run pop-up cafes on the platform twice a month\, Sunday mornings 10am-1pm\, cash only\, serving bacon baps\, teacakes\, tea\, coffee and cakes. Food and drinks are served on our platform. All funds raised are put back into the station’s maintenance\, restoration and development for all to enjoy\, apart from two cafes per season that are designated as our Charity Cafes\, from which the named charities receive all surplus money from the café and any that they raise via charity buckets\, etc. \n\n\n\nPostcode for the station is CH64 2UQ and the address is Hadlow Road\, Willaston\, Wirral.  \n\n\n\nThere is a small free car park at the station\, with further parking in the village. There is a separate private cafe\, Station Masters House (SMH) for those looking for a wide variety menu which is open 7 days a week.

DESCRIPTION:In memory of Will Ogden who died on 21st April 2026 aged 17. \n\n\n\nWill played rugby for Crosfields and then Woolston Rovers. This event is being held in his memory. There is a 7-a-side touch rugby tournament for mixed ability teams\, along with Stalls\, Fun & Games\, Music\, food & drink and a brilliant raffle with over 100 excellent prizes donated by local Warrington businesses.  \n\n\n\nAll proceeds raised in aid of PAPYRUS Hopeline\, for the prevention of young suicide.
