DESCRIPTION:Celebrate 140 years of football in Ellesmere Port at this unique heritage event\, showcasing the town’s proud tradition of producing talented players at local\, regional\, national\, and international level – from grassroots beginnings to global recognition. \n\n\n\nThe event coincides with the book launch of Ellesmere Port Football Memories by local author Celia Webber\, with a foreword by local footballing legend Ian Bowyer. Born in Little Sutton\, Ian went on to achieve international success and will be joining us as our VIP guest at the museum on Sunday\, 24 May\, sharing his experiences to inspire the next generation of footballers. \n\n\n\nAlongside the book signing\, the Museum is planning a full day of football‑themed fun suitable for visitors of all ages\, including: face‑painting\, football-related colouring‑in and word‑search activities for children\, live music and a tombola. \n\n\n\nTraditional football‑terrace favourites\, including pies and chips\, will be available in the museum café.
